Quick Easy Kheer or Rice Pudding within 10 minutes

What is Rice Pudding?

Rice pudding is basically dish that is made up from rice with water or milk, sugar, and other ingredients such as cinnamon and raisins or dry fruits.  This is basically devoured as dessert in India. 

But in other parts of the world, the adding of sugar is basically added when you are preparing it as a dessert.


Western Way of Making Rice Milk Pudding

The secret to any rice pudding is timing of the sugar.  It must not be added until the rice is thoroughly cooked otherwise it will forever remain forever hard. Also, be sure to test rice for tenderness before adding the sugar in final stage of recipe.

The method that I am about to share with you takes about 25 minutes of prepping, 20 minutes of cooking and be prepared to devour in 45 minutes.

Bring 1 1/2 cups water to a boil in a saucepan.
stir rice into boiling water.
Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 20 minutes.


In a clean saucepan, combine 1 1/2 cups cooked rice, 1 1/2 cups milk, sugar and salt.

Cook over medium heat until thick and creamy, 15 to 20 minutes.

Stir in remaining 1/2 cup milk, beaten egg, and raisins; cook 2 minutes more, stirring constantly.

Remove from heat and stir in butter and vanilla.

Healthy Beetroot and Carrot Soup



Healthy to eat, easy to make


Ingredient
Beetroot : 1 small (chop it in 4-5pieces)
Carrot : 3-4(chop it in 3-4pieces)
Onion : 1 medium (chop it in4-5pieces)
Garlic : 4-5 cloves (optional)
Butter : for frying
Cloves : 1-2
Black pepper : 4-5(optional)
Bay leave : 1(optional)
Cream : 1/4 cup
Salt : To taste
Sugar : 1/2 tsp
Milk : 1/4 cup (optional)


Method
1 Put pressure cooker on the flame and add butter.
2 Add onion and garlic into the cooker and saute(remove rawness) it.
3 Add Carrot and beetroot and saute it again.
4 Add little water and Cook it for 4-5 minutes (2-3vessels)

5 Cool and grind it in a food processor or mixer.
6 Sieve and put it on slow flame again.
7 Add salt to taste, sugar and cream.
8 At the last add cream.
9 Add milk or water to liquidize its thickness.

Notes:
You can add corn flour to increase its thickness.
You can add roasted bread crumbs or cheese cubes to make it more delicious.
Remove the bay leave before grinding.

Chinese Fried Rice




Chinese Fried Rice

Ingredients
Rice : 1cup
Oil : 1-1/2tbs spoon
Vegetables : 1Cup chopped (Carrot, beans, Capsicum, Mushroom, peas, onion and cabbage)
Soya Sauce : 2tsp
Ajinomoto : 1/2tsp
salt : According to taste
water : For boiling


Method:
1 Boil the rice (almost done not completely boiled)
2 Put the deep flat pan on flame.
3 Add cooking oil to the pan leave it for 1 minute on medium flame.
4 Start adding vegetables in this sequence (onion, peas, carrot, beans,
mushroom,capsicum and cabbage)
5 Stir all the vegetable continuously 2-3 minutes.
6 Add ajinomoto salt in it.
7 Now add boiled rice and soya sauce, stir it.
8 Add salt and Mix it well.

Notes :
Use salt a bit less than you usually use because ajinomoto and soya sauce have salty taste characteristics itself.
In this recipe we don't fully cook the vegetables. We just saute it(remove rawness) But if you like to cook the vegetables then you can cook it by adding water for 5-10 minutes and make it dry and then add boiled rice.
To avoid sticking or burning you can turn off the flame while mixing.
When adding soya sauce, mix it well.
