There are a plenty of reasons to love Amazon’s Alexa voice assistant, and honestly it works pretty well.

Now is a great time to buy any of these speakers. There will be some new releases this year, but these should remain useful for several years, since many of the improvements have to do with the services powering each digital assistant rather than the speaker hardware itself.

 Sonos especially has a track record of supporting its speakers that are a decade old, so if you're worried about longevity, opt for them.

1.  SONOS ONE - Smart Speakers


The smart speaker which is the best buy is Sonos One right now (read about it at Wired.com recommends.

Not to mention it actually sets out bar in number of things including sound quality, stable multi-room audio, and smart-home utility, compatibility with whatever ecosystem and not mention it comes inbuilt with Alexa and supports Apple Airplay 2 and in next few months they are also giong to to add Google Assistant.

In terms of audio front, Sonos One is virtually unrivaled. Apple’s HomePod is the only voice-enabled speaker we’ve heard that may best it in sound, but not by much. It connects to about 100 streaming audio services around the world, which is most of them.

It's also one of the best smart speakers to buy if you plan to build a home theater setup—it connects to Sonos' larger speakers and its TV soundbar.

2. RIVA CONCERT - Smart Speaker




This connects with Alexa, Airplay, and more. The Riva Concert is full of surprises. At first, the looks and sound like a Sonos One, but the Concert is much more clearer and sort of better at filling wider spaces with sound thanks to its two extra drivers and passive radiators that aim out each side.


Riva's app is not as good as Sonos, but you can pair them up with multiple Riva speakers and play with the bass or treble.
Flexibility is where the Riva outranks. It works with Airplay and Spotify Connect and is a hands-free Alexa speaker. Ask it for weather or give it command to turn on your lights. It can do almost anything that an Echo speaker can do.


Not only this, it also has Bluetooth connectivity, a 3.5-mm auxiliary port so you can hook it to the headphone jack of your phone, and a full-size USB port so you can play media from your phone or through a thumb drive or pen drive.


It can be connected to home media server. It's mountable and splash resistant. And you can buy a batterypack that turns it into a portable speaker with 15 hours of power plus with that it gives you a three-year warranty.


The only thing that was bit difficult for me was that the controls and color ring on top of speaker was bit confusing if you try to operate without reading the manual.
