I gave the first Live CD build. Today, we are going to prepare UBCD live CD/DVD. First go and download here you will find things which you can add when making customized live CD/DVD. Now, download a CD/DVD burning software. keep a blank CD/DVD handy. Keep your OS (windows) handy with at least Service Pack 1 (SP1) or Service Pack (SP2). If you have SP2 then it is much better (mainly for stability issue). Live CD -using teutonPE. In my last blog i was telling how to create live cd using various techniques. Today, we wil discuss teuton PE because there was lot of unique searches made after reading my last blog. Teuton PE is basically from germany. it is in pre alpha stage, which means you got to be very careful while preparing this. It is small, simple, fast & stylish, PE. System based on Barts PEBuilder. The Project & all OpenSource Plugins are hosted on sourceforge. Preinstalled system takes around 7.9 Kb of RAM without Blackbox GUI and about 14 Kb with GUI, replacable with libraries from Open Source Alternatives of ReactOS, wine, and wineHQ. In my last blog I was trying to discuss the need for a new order where antivirus are rendered useless by so many virus, and the antivirus company trying to rip you off from you hard earned money by either renewing when you do need one or simply when you feel that antivirus are better off in their maker's hands. I feel that having live CD/DVD of OS would certainly help in two aspects: First, your OS stays intact and virus, worms, would not affect so long you have DVD or CD as single write only. Second, it gives you the liberty to have more than one Live CD of any OS. You could in a moment switch from Vista to win XP pro to windows NT to ubuntu to anything you want.
